USC recognizes that it is our duty as a responsible business and community leader to protect the ecosystem through environmentally sound policies and programs.

Accordingly, our Environmental Compliance programs support the University in:

  • Complying with all environmental regulations and support best practices
  • Increasing awareness of environmental issues and engender a “Think Globally, Act Locally” philosophy
  • Reducing total waste generation
  • Embracing pollutant-reducing practices and technology
  • Diminishing the generation of toxic waste by eliminating unnecessary use of hazardous materials and processes
  • Encouraging recycling and the use of recycled materials
  • Managing and conserving energy and natural resources efficiently
  • Striving to continually improve environmental performance
  • Communicating environmental performance throughout the University
