What biosafety training do I need?
Personnel who work in biomedical research laboratories take initial and annual refresher training as outlined below (see Training Catalog), as necessary:
• Annual Safety Refresher (ASR)
• Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP)
• General Lab Safety (GLS)
• Principles of Biosafety (BIO)
• Shipment of Biological Materials and/or Dry Ice (BHS)
• Viral Vector (VVT)
How do I enroll in biosafety training?
Information and registration for biosafety training is available at Research Safety Training. Please note that training provided by the Principal Investigator such as Annual Safety Refresher (ASR) or lab-specific training must be documented through EH&S Assistant (EHSA).
