USC is committed to preventing accidents and ensuring a safety and health for all employees. Cal-OSHA requires all employers that have hazardous chemicals in their workplace to develop, implement and maintain a written Hazard Communication (HazCom) program. The HazCom program emphasizes workplace safety and ensures that employees are informed of the hazardous substances to which they are exposed to at the worksite. The program shall include: labeling, warning signs, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and training.
