If you will be working with radioactive materials or radiation-producing devices, you will need to take one or more of the following Radiation Safety Training sessions offered by EH&S:
Radiation Safety Training (RAD)
Who needs the training?
Personnel working with radioactive isotopes (required) and personnel to be added to a radiation permit (required).
When is it offered?
Radiation Safety Training is offered:
- In-person (Zoom). Go to the Training Registration web page to register for a Zoom session.
- Online (Radiation Safety Online) through Trojan Learn.
X-Ray Safety Training
Who needs the training?
Personnel working with any X-ray unit (required)
- Examples include: X-ray, CT scanner, DEXA, electron microscope, faxitron, irradiator, and diffraction units. NOTE: Personnel need to be added to the X-ray permit in order to gain access to X-ray units.
